“It’s a Family Affair” is the theme for the 56^th Alabama National Fair presented October 9 – 18, 2009. Our outdoor entertainment will include Sea Lion Splash, the only traveling sea lion show in the United States, the Live! Shark Encounter, the Puppetone Rockers, a spectacular circus, a petting zoo, and the ever popular Racing and Diving Pigs. There are many competitive divisions for youth and adults to participate in such as livestock, baking, needlework, quilting, photography, art, and many other competitions. The Fair’s stage entertainment will start with a concert on the opening Friday night for our second annual Salute to America’s Veterans.  Our focus for this event will be a “Welcome Home Celebration” in honor of our Vietnam Veterans. Also performing on stage during the ten days of the Fair will be Craig Morgan, Eric Benet, Jamey Johnson, and Billy Currington.
